NAS volunteers helped direct parking at two local races, 12 hrs of Tsali and the XTerra race over the weekend of June 25th and 26th. Race organizers make a generous donation to NAS when our volunteers help with parking at these events, which in turn allows us to continue to host trail work days. Thanks to the volunteers who donated their time to help NAS uphold our mission! You all rock!
In preparation for the summer season and several races taking place at Tsali, NAS hosted a work day on May 22! Our awesome volunteers created 35 drainage features and cleared 3.5 miles of brush, all on Mouse trail. They were rewarded with a delicious barbecue feast after all the hard work. Thanks to everyone who came out, we had a great day!
NAS partnered with the USFS to bring much needed directional signs to Tsali. These signs are located at all intersections at the trails. We hope locals and visitors alike enjoy these much needed signs! Check out this write up by the Smoky Mountain News and let us know what you think!
